Long before Greater Today had a name, John and Deborah Anthony were already doing the work. Through decades of church service, community outreach, and public service, they built a life rooted in the belief that people matter — and that showing up for others is one of the highest callings a person can answer.
When their son John Wesley Christian Anthony passed in 2021, that lifetime of community service became the foundation for something greater. Greater Today, Inc.–NFP was born not from grief alone, but from a deep well of love, faith, and a family's refusal to let a beautiful life be forgotten.
Today, John and Deborah — alongside their five daughters — carry that work forward. Through advocacy, speaking, books, training, and community projects, they touch lives across the United States and around the world, reminding people everywhere that their story is not over and that life is, indeed, greater today.
